Morning meditation: How you start your day determines your day (video)

Yiannis Michael’s gift to all Life Painters who have asked to learn more about how they can apply meditation to their morning ritual.

Morning meditation can change your whole day. The impact is huge, especially when compounded over time. So taking 10-15 minutes during a busy morning is worth it.

Meditation is essentially a dialogue with ourselves, with the ultimate goal of aligning the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It is time to train our minds to learn to live in the here and now.

15 minute guided meditation! It helps to “empty” thoughts, balance the two hemispheres of the brain, reduce stress and focus us on the present.

Something very important during meditation is posture and inhalation and exhalation. There needs to be rhythm. We inhale through the nose rhythmically one – two – three, and exhale rhythmically one – two – three. Meditation in a seated position is recommended for best results.

The important thing to remember is that when we breathe in, we breathe in the desire for what we want most in our lives. It is very normal during meditation to have negative thoughts. We don’t stop there… We keep breathing in and out until we train our mind to learn to live in the here and now. Don’t be disappointed.
